“Go Kits Fundamentals” by Bill Brady KF5ZBL

The best way to describe a Go-Kit is that it is a complete amateur radio station in a box. The purpose is to provide a radio system that can go anywhere at anytime, yet be stored easily in a compact space. A proper Go-Kit is made up of a portable “Amateur radio” station and assorted personal gear that can quickly be assembled and put into service when needed.

Bill Brady (KF5ZBL) will be presenting Go-Kits from concept to finished kit. His presentation will include design, power, and packaging considerations. No matter if you are skilled or a novice, anyone can build a Go-Kit. Bill will also have a few of his Go-Kits on display before, during, and after his presentation to give you some ideas of what is possible. Bill has been a Licensed Ham since October 2013 and is the current President of the Dallas Amateur Radio Club.
