March 2018 PROGRAM

All About Antenna Analyzers

Image result for antenna analyzer

Dave Russell W2DMR will describe and discuss the available present day analyzers. It will center on their strengths and weaknesses with emphasis on their capabilities. Present day analyzers range from simple and basic devices to some of the most sophisticated “ lab quality “ instruments. Examples will be shown and discussed. The intent of the program is to provide to the listeners the information needed for the user to determine which ones are most suitable and appropriate for their use.

Dave was employed in various engineering and marketing roles in the US and abroad in the RF radio broadcast and communications industry for over 40 years. His projects ranged from LF to MF and HF transmitters and communications systems from 100 watts up to 2 megawatts. Now in retirement he has rediscovered the pleasure of rag chewing and mentoring newcomers to the amateur radio hobby.
